Each year the local chapters of Project by Project (Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York) come together to address the needs of the API community by selecting a theme to champion. Each chapter partners with a local non-profit organization that focuses on the issues of the annual theme and tailors a year-long campaign to support its fundraising, community outreach, and public awareness efforts. This year, we are focusing on the needs of the LGBTQ API community.
We are proud and excited to announce that we are partnering with API Equality Northern California (APIENC)! Founded in 2004, APIENC aims to build LGBTQ API power to amplify voices and increase visibility of their communities. Through organizing, they inspire and train leaders, establish intergenerational connections, and document and disseminate their histories.
This year, PbP SF will work with APIENC to develop effective strategies to enhance its capacity to better serve the LGBTQ API community.
