Project by Project's Food and Wine tasting to be Held July 22 at the California Science Center
Bravo's "Top Chef 2" to Film at Event for Upcoming Episode

LOS ANGELES, CA— Heralded on Citysearch.com as one of the “Top 10 Things to Do this Summer” for the second straight year, the Fourth Annual Project by Project Southern California Food and Wine Tasting Benefit will feature an evening of culinary delights and delicious wine, graciously provided by dozens of master chefs and noted wineries. The event is chaired by Akira Hirose of Maison Akira in Pasadena with Kerry Heffernan of Hudson Park Catering in New York, serving as honorary chair and emceed by Susan Hirasuna of Fox 11 News. This unique event will take place at the Wallis Annenberg Building at California Science Center from 7:00 pm to 10:30 pm. In addition, there will be a one-hour VIP champagne reception courtesy of Crustacean Beverly Hills at 6:00pm. The event will benefit Los Angeles based non-profit, Visual Communications, the country’s premier Asian Pacific media arts center.

Accompanying our executive chefs for the evening is a stellar line-up of Hollywood entertainers as well as renown newscasters who will be participating as Guest Celebrity Sous Chefs and helping our master chefs prepare food and serve the attendees. On deck for the evening are actor Sung Kang of The Fast and The Furious; Tokyo Drift, Michelle Krusiec and Lynn Chen of Joan Chen’s award winning Indie film Saving Face, Ivana Ma of NBC’s hit show The Apprentice 2, Clyde Kusatsu of Sydney Pollack’s acclaimed film The Interpreter, Roger Fan of Annapolis, Dustin Nguyen of Little Fish with Cate Blanchett, 100.3 FM LA Beat’s DJ K-Sly, poet Beau Sia, newscaster Ted Chen of NBC4, newscaster David Ono of ABC7 and newscaster Janet Choi of KTLA and many more to come.

As a special treat this year, Bravo’s Top Chef will film at the event, with Project by Project’s Food and
Wine Tasting serving as the backdrop to one of the upcoming season’s challenges. “We are thrilled to have elevated the visibility of our benefit and garnered so much attention from all levels of media,” said Mia Chan, events director for the Southern California chapter. “We are proud to make such strides in our efforts to bring awareness to our community and support the work that our beneficiary partners perform for Asian Americas in cinema.”

The evening will also feature a premium Silent and Live Auction featuring auction lots from major airlines, high end clothier, restaurant gift certificates, jewelry and more. There will also be a special announcement regarding the Food and Wine Tasting Benefit in New York upcoming in September 29th at the Copacabana.
