George M. Yin joined Project by Project-LA as a director in 2014. He currently serves as PbP-LA’s Outreach Team as Manager of Past Partner Relations.
George is a political law attorney with the Kaufman Legal Group. In that capacity he advises political candidates, elected officials, political committees, companies, individuals, ballot measure committees, non-profit organizations, labor unions and public agencies on federal, state, and local election laws, governmental ethics laws, conflicts of interest and open government laws. George holds a J.D. from UCLA Law School, an M.A. in Urban Planning from the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs, an M.Sc. in Public Administration/Public Policy from the London School of Economics, and a B.A. in Government from Cornell University.
George is an active volunteer in the community, having served on the boards of numerous non-profit organizations, including the Chinese Historical Society of Southern California, the Organization of Chinese Americans (Greater LA Chapter), the Asian Professional Exchange (APEX), the USC-Pacific Asia Museum Chinese Arts Council, Vincent Price Art Museum Foundation, and Project by Project-Los Angeles. George loves the rich diversity of Southern California and is committed to promoting social justice, understanding and awareness through programs in philanthropy, social services, arts/culture, and community needs advocacy.
