Despite being raised on a steady diet of fast food and questionable Chinese during his younger years in Orange County, Kevin still managed to develop an appreciation for all things gastronomic. After shedding his culinarily-sheltered childhood during his tenure at Cal, he quickly began devouring all that he could get his paws on, and, after a life-changing meal at Alinea in Chicago, started kevinEats as a way to document and share his eating adventures. Today, his blog is one of the most widely read, and reviled, restaurant blogs in the Southland.

To fund his foodist tendencies, Kevin currently works in engineering, but previously dabbled in investment banking before discovering that the 100-hour work weeks were not conducive to dining out regularly. He is a graduate of UC Berkeley, having received his degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science in 2003. A glutton for punishment, he also completed an MS in Astronautical Engineering in 2006 as well as an MBA in 2009, both at USC.

Kevin began his relationship with Project by Project seven years ago, when he was invited to provide coverage of the 2010 Plate by Plate event at the California Science Center. After liking what he saw of the group, he expanded his function to an external consultant for the organization and played a critical role in securing participants for the 2011 tasting benefit. In 2012, he started heading up the Restaurant Relations team, and hopes to make 2017 the best Plate by Plate yet!
