2016 Beneficiary Partner Announcement

This year the local chapters of Project by Project decided to focus on the needs of the LGBTQ community. We are happy to announce that our beneficiary partner for 2016 is: Asian Pacific AIDS Intervention Team (APAIT)!

APAIT is focused on improving the quality of life for the medically underserved communities living with or at risk for HIV/AIDS and other health disparities through culturally competent programs in Southern California. Besides providing HIV/AIDS prevention, testing and treatment, APAIT also provides culturally appropriate behavioral health treatment, counseling, and social support to empower clients to become advocates for themselves as well as the HIV/AIDS and LGBTQ community.

Their outstanding work has greatly inspired us and we look forward to developing strategies and enhancing their capacity to better serve the LGBTQ community!

Kickoff Event at Mrs. Fish

On March 10th, over 150 people attended our Kickoff Mixer at Mrs. Fish where we announced our 2016 beneficiary partner for the year, Asian Pacific AIDS Intervention Team (APAIT).  Above is a glimpse of our event, but if you would like to check out the rest of our event photos, please click here. A big shoutout to Steven Lam for capturing all these great moments!

Volunteer Retreat

Over 30 of our members gathered in Fallbrook, CA for 3 days of leadership development, team bonding, eating and lots of fun! The Volunteer Team put together a great program to remind the Steering Committee of Project by Project’s core values. Some of the highlights include: learning how to Dougie, discovering our color, participating in a feeling circle, and preparing delicious meals with fellow members of the Steering Committee.
