HOW DOES IT WORK? 9 of our Steering Commitee members will be serving drinks as guest bartenders from 6pm-9pm. 100% of the tips received will be donated to Project by Project.

WHY SHOULD YOU COME? • Come support our non-profit as we ramp up our plans for 2017 • The Warriors will be playing that night against the Rockets. Game wil be shown on both TVs in the bar. • Hang out with your friends in PbP!

Join us for our info session to learn more about Project by Project, meet our team, and see how you can make a difference in 2017! We have positions in Marketing, Events, Fundraising, Outreach, Legal and Volunteer/Leadership Development.

What do we do? Project by Project (PbP) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in New York City in 1998 by a group of young Asian American professionals. Comprised of a team with backgrounds across finance, consulting, technology, media, entertainment and law, PbP’s founding team felt it could do more to empower the Asian American community. They created an innovative platform by which our members exercise leadership skills through direct service volunteer work, increasing awareness and fundraising for fellow organizations within the Asian American community.

Plate by Plate



Plate by Plate is the premier annual tasting benefit organized by Project by Project (PbP). The event showcases New York City’s premier restaurants and is attended by over 200 food and wine loving guests who look forward to sampling what the city’s best has to offer. Plate by Plate has been featured on Bravo TV’s hit reality show, Top Chef, and MTV-K, as well as some of New York’s best culinary publications. You’ll also have the chance to interact and mingle with the city’s best chefs. Between tasting intricate bites and sipping beverages, don’t forget to check out our wide array of silent auction items.

Our partner this year is National Queer Asian Pacific Islander Alliance (NQAPIA). Net ticket proceeds garnered from this event will benefit our partner organization; PbP will help develop and implement a sustainable marketing campaign intended to raise awareness of LGBTQ issues within the Asian American and Pacific Islander Communities.

NQAPIA is a federation of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) Asian American, South Asian, Southeast Asian, and Pacific Islander (AAPI) organizations and seek to build the organizational capacity of local LGBT AAPI groups, develop leadership, promote visibility, educate our community, enhance grassroots organizing, expand collaborations, and challenge homophobia and racism.

We are only a few days away from Plate by Plate, this Saturday, August 6th at the beautiful Wallis Annenberg Building at the California Science Center. We are excited to welcome you and know that you will enjoy the exciting lineup of the LA's premier food and beverages this weekend.

In anticipation of the event, we wanted to provide you with a few tips and pointers regarding logistics, listed below:

The Event

Doors will open at 7pm (6pm for guests with VIP tickets). The Wallis Annenberg Building is located at the California Science Center in Exposition Park. The entrance to the Wallis Annenberg Building is directly across from the Rose Garden. There will be signs from the parking garage directing you to the entrance.

The event runs until 10pm and then transitions to our post-event party at The Continental Club. Your wristband gets you free admission and front-of-the-line access into our afterparty.

Dress code 

We recommend Formal and/or Black Tie Optional.


North on the Harbor Freeway (110)

  • Exit Exposition Boulevard
  • Turn left to Flower Street
  • Turn left on Flower to Figueroa Street
  • Enter Exposition Park 1/2 block on the right (39th Street/Exposition Park Drive)
  • Follow guest parking signs to the parking structure

Art & Apéritifs

Join Project by Project (PbP) at the first LGBTQ art museum in the world for an evening of art and aperitifs! Every year, Project by Project champions a theme within the Asian American population, themes that often have been undermined or hidden from the mainstream spotlight. This year we're focusing our efforts to increase awareness of LGBTQ issues in the community.

In support of our theme, Project by Project will be hosting an event at the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art located in Soho to introduce our partner and the work we will be doing together this year. Come enjoy great conversation over your drink of choice and enjoy the artwork on display!

The event is open to the public, business casual attire is recommended.

Early Bird: $40; General Admission: $50

Your ticket includes: - after hours admission to the museum - open bar/cocktail hour during the event - hors d'oeuvres and various appetizers

PbP San Francsico Tour of St. George Spirits


Project by Project SF would like to invite you and your friends to join us on a spirits tour at St. George’s! For those who attended Plate by Plate last year, you may remember the delicious tastings offered by St. George Spirits. If you missed out, now’s your chance to join us as we support our past vendor at their local, independent craft distillery for a tasting tour. This is an extraordinary way to learn about craft distillation and artisanal spirits. The whole experience will give you the chance to see how spirits are made and understand exactly what goes into crafting what’s in your glass. Tours provide an overview of the production area, with the chance to view the stills, fermentation tanks, barrel storage, and bottling line. Tours conclude in the tasting room with a guided tasting designed to help you learn how to approach and appreciate spirits. Each tasting includes a selection of six of their spirits—all made onsite!

All tours and tastings are 21 and over. Valid ID is required for entry.

2015 Project by Project-LA is Now Accepting Applications from Qualified Non-Profit Organizations Working in the Realm of Housing and Providing Shelter for Its 2015 Beneficiary Partner Campaign

Project by Project is currently inviting applications for our 2015 beneficiary partner campaign. Each year, PbP's local chapters (Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York) each select a non-profit community based organization that focuses (in whole in part) on issues within a selected theme and then tailors a year-long campaign to help that organization's fundraising, community outreach, and public awareness efforts. The group that PbP's Los Angeles Chapter (PbP-LA) will select will be known as PbP-LA's "beneficiary partner" for the year.

PbP LA 2014 Local Conference


PbP LA Local ConferenceCome join us at our Local Conference of the year on Sunday, March 16 from 10 AM to 5 PM at The Great Company DTLA venue called the SEED Center (located in the newly developing Toy District).

This day is to orient new members to Project by Project / Plate by Plate Los Angeles (PbP) and to vision cast for the year. PbP is an unique organization where young professionals and social entrepreneurs get together to focus on supporting one cause and one nonprofit each year through fundraising, raising awareness and volunteerism. This year, our cause is Mental Health, which we believe is a pertinent and critical matter in our community today.

You'll find that by joining, you will develop your leadership and professional skills, expand your network and make long-lasting friendships and be exposed to people and things you never knew or experienced before.
