FUNDRAISING

The Fundraising team is responsible for all revenue generating initiatives via local outreach to corporations, individuals, and public entities. Fundraising maintains records and databases of all contacts and relationship logs and inputs the data into the national database.


Mia Bahr

Director of Fundraising

Mia is the Director of Fundraising and Partnerships for Project by Project NY (PbP). She joined PbP to develop her leadership skills and give back to the the Asian community through volunteerism. Outside of PbP, Mia is a Senior Associate at Thirty Madison, a family of healthcare brands focused on providing quality, accessible care for patients with chronic conditions. In her free time, she releases music under the stage name “Saint Bahr,” runs, and enjoys public speaking. She is a born and raised Chicagoan who has called New York home for the past 2 years. She received her Bachelor’s in Symbolic Systems with a focus in Decision Making and Rationality from Stanford University, where she focused her honors thesis on care pathways for neonatal jaundice.


Jun Jeong

Silent Auction Manager

Jun the Silent Auction Manager for Fundraising. He joined PbP because he wanted to find inspiring ways to give back to the Asian American community. Jun is currently a Product Manager at Google. In his spare time, Jun enjoys playing volleyball, golf, and trying new restaurants in the city.


David Ongchoco

Partnerships Manager

David is a partnerships manager in the fundraising team at PbP. David joined PbP to get more involved in the local NYC community and to support various causes that he cares about. David is Cofounder & Partner at Comma Capital, an early stage venture capital fund based in New York. In his free time, he enjoys reading fiction and biographies, playing golf, jamming to Taylor Swift in karaoke and hosting dinner parties.


Wen Cheung

Fundraising Team Member

​​Wen is part of the Fundraising Team for the NY Chapter. He joined Projects By Projects in hopes of making an impact for his people in the Asian-American community. He is a senior at Baruch College majoring in finance and is currently part of the Division 3 volleyball team. Wen enjoys gaming, trying new restaurants, and competing in sports.


Daniel Kim

Fundraising Team Member

Daniel is a new part of the 2024 Fundraising team. Having experience as an auditor he uses his financial background to help make an impact as a Steer Co member. He hopes to help PbP to help make a positive impact within the community, as well as make new connections and friends along the way. Outside of work he enjoys music and finding new places to eat. He's open to trying all kinds of new hobbies and food, and hopes to do so while with the org.


Rick Bai

Fundraising Team Member

Rick is from Dallas TX and moved to NYC 1.5 years ago for work! He loves AAPI related events and getting to participate in those communities. He currently works in tech and in his spare time he enjoys playing volleyball, taking KPOP dance classes and finding cool artsy things to do in the city. He will be joining the fundraising team and is really excited to be working with the PbP team!
