Plate by Plate LA 2018 Recap and #GivingTuesday

This #GivingTuesday, we look back to 2018 Plate by Plate LA and are grateful for all of our restaurant/beverage and corporate sponsors, community partners, volunteers, and Plate by Plate attendees who supported us in raising funds for our 2018 Immigration Campaign.
We couldn’t have done it without you!

In 2018, with Asian Americans & Immigration as Project by Project’s national campaign theme, our objective was to raise awareness regarding anti-immigration propaganda and major policy changes sweeping our country. PbP-LA partnered with community nonprofit OCA-Greater Los Angeles and championed their Mentored Path to Citizenship Grant program, which helps overcome the financial, cultural, and legal barriers facing our immigrant community in securing status and status for their families. At $725, the current fee for the naturalization application has increased 80% in the last 10 years, compared to minimum wage which has only increased 40%. Through the support of the Project by Project community and Plate by Plate attendees, we successfully raised funds to help individuals achieve the dream of American citizenship.

Thank you for helping make our 2018 Immigration Campaign and Plate by Plate LA a success.
