EVENTS

The Events team oversees the planning and execution of all public events held by the New York Chapter throughout the year. The team ensures the chapter’s adherence to national goals and themes for events.


Charles Lee

Co-Director of Events

Charles joined the PbP NY Events team in 2022 after moving back to New York from Boston. He currently works at Chobani with a focus on marketing research and consumer insights. Outside of work, he likes to stay active. Tennis, biking, volleyball, skiing, and drinking water are some of the things he's bad at doing. When Charles has free time, he likes to cook his favorite pasta dish, which is rated 8 out of 10 tomatoes by his friend who likes to rate things.


Bynn Lee

Co-Director of Events

Bynn is the Events Co-Director of the NY PBP chapter this year. He joined for a very basic reason, to get more involved in the local Asian American community, but has stayed because ATB last year was fun to plan. He's currently a software engineer in NYC and in his spare time, is trying to be an actor.


Joyce Chan

Events Production & Entertainment Manager

Joyce Chan recently joined the Events team for the Project by Project NY Chapter. She is a first-generation Asian American student studying Advertising and Marketing Communications at CUNY Baruch College. Joyce aims to give back to her community while developing her professional skills. In her spare time, Joyce loves to travel and try out new recipes!


Jenny Chen

ATB Social Media Manager

Jenny is currently on the PBP Events team as the ATB Social Media Manager. She joined PBP after attending the 2023 Annual Tasting benefit, where she thoroughly enjoyed the experience and cause. For her full-time role, Jenny works at Morgan Stanley as a Product Manager building quantitative investment tools for ultra-high-net-worth and institutional clients.

In her free time, Jenny enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants in NYC, and hanging out with friends. She puts a lot of effort into her food / travel account (@jennysbreadbaby) as well by visiting restaurants, helping small businesses, and posting fun experiences to try in NYC!


Tiffany Chen

Restaurant Relations Manager

Tiffany Chen joined the NY chapter’s Events team after attending the 2023 Annual Tasting benefit. She is passionate about public health initiatives like increasing access to healthy foods, education, and healthcare and hopes to contribute to the development of these initiatives in the AAPI community. Outside of PbP, Tiffany is a physician working at a health tech company building digital pathology software. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, playing mahjong, and playing team sports!


Emily Chow

Restaurant Relations Manager

Emily is a member of the Events team for Project by Project in the NY chapter. She is passionate about working with small businesses and is excited to further support the AAPI community with her skills in digital marketing. Outside of PbP, Emily works as Client Solutions Manager at Meta and is the Head of Training and Development for Meta Prosper.


Sherry Chen

Beverage Relations Manager

Sherry is a Product Specialist in the Customer Experience Research and Insights team at Mastercard working on user testing, concept development, and new product innovation. She joined PBP in 2023 as the ATB Graphic Design Manager and now, she is works on the Events team under Food and Beverage. During her free time, Sherry is an avid traveler and loves exploring new places. She studied abroad in Singapore and traveled around Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Additionally, she loves biking around NYC and starting running as hobby. Aiming for the NYC Marathon this year!


Aileen Lu

Events Team Member

Aileen is an Events team member in the New York chapter of Project by Project. She joined PbP to positively contribute to the New York AAPI community and meet individuals who share that interest. Aileen graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and currently works at Strategy& as a Consultant. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the NY food scene, browsing on Facebook Marketplace, and training for her next race.


Michelle Su

Events Team Member

Michelle is a member of the PbP New York Events team. Having been heavily involved with Asian interest organizations in college, Michelle joined PbP in hopes of further connecting with the AAPI community in New York. She graduated from USC in 2019 with a BS in Business Administration and currently works as a Senior Technology Consultant at Deloitte. In her free time, Michelle loves to try new restaurants, experiment with new recipes, practice yoga, and explore the city with long walks outside.


Mathew Lee

Events Team Member

Matt is a part of the Events Team in New York. He joined PbP to give back and connect with his local community. He currently works as a business analyst at LinkedIn and in his spare time loves to be outdoors playing sports or in the kitchen cooking for a dinner party.


Nancy Guan

Events Team Member

Nancy is currently a member of the Events team at Project by Project NY. She joined PbP because she wanted to continue making a positive impact in the AAPI community and meet new friends along the way. She recently graduated from Baruch College and works as an HR Operations Associate at LinkedIn. Her previous experiences were in a range of industries, including accounting, financial compliance, consumer goods, technology, and real estate. In her free time, plays tennis, video games, bakes, and mentors at a program helping young college students professionally develop.


Tiffany Chen

Restaurant Relations Manager

Tiffany is on the events team as a manager for restaurant relations! She was a part of PbP last year as a member of the silent auction team. She joined PbP to give back to the AAPI community and learn more about the efforts to combat topics like food insecurity, lack of education access, etc.

Tiffany currently works at JPMC and aligns with a AWM AI/ML team. In her spare time, she enjoys building miniature houses, gardening, and learning new ice skating moves. She looks forward to meeting all the new and returning folks with PbP!
